A Week in the Life of a Youth Camper
If you are young person thinking about coming to Woodland for the first time, you may wonder what camp is like. Over the years, thousands of campers have attended Woodland and many have been coming for years. Woodland is a great place to have fun with your friends and make new ones. The information provided gives a general overview of a typical youth camp week. Each camp week has unique events and traditions which are not listed here.

Campers arrive to the Dining Hall between 3 and 6 p.m. for registration and cabin assignment. Campers may register online at the camp website –woodlandbiblecamp.org. You can request to be in the same cabin with your friends. You stay in air conditioned cabins with a maximum of 7 campers and a cabin leader. The boys’ and girls’ cabins are on opposite sides of the camp. Each area has a community shower house and restroom facility.

Rise and shine between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Camp meals of traditional American cuisine are served in an air-conditioned dining hall. Camp food is great! The cooks are excellent. In the morning, there are a couple of classes/small groups, singing and a chapel service. There is also an evening chapel service. The classes are Biblically based, informative, and practical. There are periods of free time throughout the day to relax and hang out with your friends. The camp store sells bottled water, soft drinks, snacks, candy and ice cream. Recreational activities include disc (frisbee) golf, basketball, softball, volleyball, octagon ball, soccer, carpet ball, foosball, ping pong, horse shoes, corn hole, Capture the Flag, camp fires, other indoor and outdoor games and a waterslide. During Intermediate Week, campers go to the Linton Pool for a private pool party and also go bowling.
